Underground Film

Underground Film is a monthly event devoted to screening the weird, wacky and wonderful. As well as checking out screenings, get along and meet people who make films in Hobart. An important part of this concept is to get people chatting and excited about film, video, computer animation and every aspect of visual culture we can find to screen over the coming months. Film is a collaborative medium: you wanna make films, you need people. This is the core of what this is about.

Got something YOU want to see up on a big screen? We will screen it, no matter how weird or depraved (contact first for format issues to be solved prior to the night). Got an idea and no technical skill? Come and meet the people with technical skill and no idea!! This is just the start, come and get in on the ground floor.

There is merch on sale each night - films, comics, music - what ever we can muster. Bring your cash and spend it on local product, you know it makes sense.
